Boxing is a combat sport where two athletes compete using padded gloves to land legal punches above the waist. It emphasizes timing, accuracy, defense, and footwork, with bouts typically decided by knockout, technical knockout, or judges’ scoring. Success in boxing relies on precision striking, endurance, and ring strategy.
Bare Knuckle Fighting is a striking sport where competitors punch with bare fists or minimal hand wraps, without the use of traditional gloves. Fighters rely on precision, control, and defense, as sustained combinations are riskier than in gloved boxing. Modern bare-knuckle competition prioritizes technique and conditioning while operating under strict safety rules.
Mixed Martial Arts is a full-contact sport that combines striking and grappling, both standing and on the ground. Fighters draw from multiple disciplines—such as boxing, wrestling, jiu-jitsu, and kickboxing—to outscore or finish their opponents. Matches may be won by knockout, submission, referee stoppage, or judges’ decision, following the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts.
Kickboxing is a stand-up combat sport combining the punches of boxing with martial-arts-style kicks. Depending on the ruleset (such as K-1 or International), competitors may use leg kicks and limited clinch strikes like a single knee, but extended clinch fighting is not allowed. The sport emphasizes speed, power, and accuracy through continuous striking exchanges.
